Tips on keeping records
Occasionaly by the time you alert us to a claim, vital information may be lost. Keeping a photographic record may be helpful. An example of this could be a motor vehicle accident, where a photo of the scene may be useful in establishing the responsibility of a third party.
With digital cameras becoming so common and even many cellphones having reasonable cameras included, most of us have the ability to capture pictures that may help with a difficult claim. If you do take pictures that may be of assistance later, just let us know. We can advise you should they become of advantage to your claim.
Wherever personal property is lost, stolen or destroyed, having a record of it makes our job easier. Do always make a point of collecting model and serial numbers, take photos, keep receipts and store them somewhere safe.
